1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of artofolive.com and any purchase you make from oliv (“oliv”, “we”, “us”), located at Saint Elie Street, Mansourieh, Lebanon. By browsing the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Products
We sell handcrafted olive wood kitchenware and décor. Every piece is made from natural wood, so grain, colour, shape and size vary from one piece to another and may differ slightly from the photos. These natural variations are part of the product and are not defects. We try to display products accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your screen shows colours exactly.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and may change at any time without notice. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order. Currently we accept cash on delivery (COD): you pay the courier in cash when your order arrives. We may add other payment methods in the future. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to cancel an order affected by one, in which case we will contact you.
4. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm it by phone, WhatsApp or email, or when we dispatch it. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if the details provided are incomplete or incorrect, or if we cannot reach you to confirm delivery.
5. Delivery
We currently deliver within Lebanon. The delivery fee is shown at checkout. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Please give a complete address and a phone number on which you can be reached, since the courier will call before delivering. If delivery fails because the address or phone number is wrong, or the order is refused or unanswered, we may charge the delivery fee on any future order.
6. Returns and refunds
Returns, exchanges and refunds are covered by our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms. Please inspect your order on delivery and contact us right away if an item is damaged or incorrect.
7. Care of olive wood
Olive wood should be hand washed with mild soap, dried at once and never soaked or put in a dishwasher. Occasionally rub it with food-safe oil. Damage caused by misuse or poor care is not covered by our returns policy.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this site, including the oliv name and logo, text, photographs and designs, belongs to oliv or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use it commercially without our written permission.
9. Privacy
We collect the personal details you give us (such as name, phone, address and email) to process and deliver your orders and to answer your requests. We share them only with those who need them to complete your order, such as delivery couriers, and we do not sell them. The site uses cookies for basic operation and analytics.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, oliv is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site or products, or for delays caused by events beyond our control. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
11. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the version on the site when you place your order applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon.
